OVERVIEW:
As a Culinary Operations Manager, you will assist the Executive Chef in overseeing the production of high-quality food for our gourmet dining establishments. Your role will involve preparing and cooking a variety of dishes, mentoring kitchen staff on menu items, and adhering to company standards and procedures. You will strive for operational efficiency and profitability by executing your responsibilities directly or through your team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Achieve operational excellence by following established methods and guidelines to maintain high standards of service and quality. Regularly assess performance and implement necessary adjustments.
2. Supervise kitchen staff and manage daily operations during assigned shifts, ensuring that operational goals are met and performance objectives are achieved.
3. Create effective staffing schedules that align with labor cost targets while ensuring guest satisfaction.
4. Develop and execute menu items as specified, ensuring that kitchens are well-stocked and prepared for service.
5. Contribute to the budgeting process by providing insights and supporting compliance with budgetary goals.
6. Promote and exemplify superior customer service in line with departmental standards, addressing any service issues promptly.
7. Implement cost control measures by monitoring inventory and maintaining consistent pars.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain quality assurance standards.
9. Uphold confidentiality regarding all departmental and company matters.
10. Communicate positively with guests and team members, utilizing exceptional service skills.

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
This position may include supervisory responsibilities such as:
1. Developing and implementing staff training programs.
2. Managing employee recognition initiatives to enhance engagement.
3. Evaluating team performance and providing constructive feedback.
4. Assisting in staffing recommendations and scheduling to meet operational needs.
5. Streamlining work procedures to enhance workflow efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
1. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
2. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
3. Flexibility to work various shifts, including holidays and weekends.
4. Ability to prepare reports and documentation effectively.
5. Strong mathematical skills for operational calculations.
6. Excellent interpersonal skills for guest and team interactions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Culinary Arts or a related field, coupled with at least four years of culinary experience across various venues, is required. Supervisory experience of three years is also essential.
