Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Alarm Dispatcher and Responder to join our team at Alarm Detection Systems. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for responding to alarm signals, monitoring alarm systems, and providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Respond to alarm signals in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring the safety of customers and their properties.
  • Monitor alarm systems, communicate with keyholders and customers, and dispatch ADS runners, law enforcement, and fire departments as needed.
  • Verify authorized users, notify proper authorities, and call customers to test systems when necessary.
  • Work with service and installers to verify signals are received correctly and enter opening/closing schedules and zone descriptions.
  • Check receivers for proper times, do backup tape daily, and verify incoming activity for the Stealth logger, raw data, and receivers.
  • Notify the Fire Department of any commercial fire alarms out of service for more than 8 hours.
  • Check on "unrestored" reports each shift and systems that are out of service.
  • Dispatch ADS or Chicago Runners as needed and be responsible for onsite duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Education or equivalent is required.
  • Previous dispatching experience is highly preferred.
  • Previous customer service experience is highly preferred.
  • Clear and valid Driver's License is required.
  • Must be able to obtain a Permanent Employee Registration Card from the State of Illinois Department of Financial and Professional (Illinois employees only).
