**Job Summary**

TriVan Truck Body, a leading manufacturer of specialty vehicles and enclosures, is seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Designer to join our Design Department.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components for our specialty vehicles and enclosures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, purchasing, and production, to bring projects to completion
  • Work with customers and outside vendors to ensure successful project outcomes
  • Develop and maintain detailed designs, specifications, and documentation
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and engineering

**Requirements:**

  • Proficiency with MS Office computer software
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD (2+ years experience)
  • 3D solid modeling experience (especially with Autodesk Inventor) is strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a manufacturing facility is strongly preferred
  • Good knowledge and understanding of mechanical design principles as well as basic experience in the electrical and plumbing fields
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to bring clarity to projects during changing customer and vendor requests
  • Self-motivated, highly detailed, and responsible
