Job Description:

As a skilled Robotic Weld Operator with the Progressive Metal Manufacturing Company, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of our products. Your primary responsibility will be to perform weld operations using state-of-the-art equipment and materials according to production specifications.

Duties & Tasks:

  • Performing weld operations using robotic equipment and materials according to production package.
  • Setting and adjusting robotic weld equipment to ensure defect-free welds.
  • Interpreting engineering drawings and weld symbols to ensure accurate production.
  • Regularly inspecting in-process and finished parts for defective welds according to work instructions and procedures.
  • Repairing welds using various welding techniques.
  • Placing or packing finished parts into designated containers and ensuring proper labeling.
  • Actively participating in training to increase knowledge of the equipment, technology, and production capabilities of the robotic welder.
  • Completing required paperwork and computer entries as required.
  • Communicating with co-workers and supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Familiarity with Windows OS, keyboard, mouse, and scanner.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints.
  • Basic reading and math capabilities.
  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • Six months or more of welding experience.
