About the Role

We are seeking a skilled iOS Application Developer to join our dynamic team at Cracker Barrel. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our iOS application to ensure it delivers the same warmth and hospitality that our physical locations are known for.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and develop new features for the Cracker Barrel iOS application.
  • Work closely with designers to ensure that the user interface and experience align with Cracker Barrel's brand identity and standards.
  • Integrate with external APIs and data sources to provide dynamic content and functionality within the app.
  • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
  • Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
  • Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
  • Continuously monitor app performance and user feedback to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for iOS applications.
  • Experience with cloud message APIs and push notifications.
  • Understanding of app security and data protection measures.
  • Previous experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment.
  • Proven working experience in iOS app development and have published at least one original iOS app.
  • Proficiency in Swift and Objective-C programming languages.
  • Experience with iOS frameworks.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services.
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
