The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Effectively working and communicating with a team to continuously improve quality, safety, efficiency, and productivity.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Scheduling production for the department and meeting production requirements.
  • Coordinating requirements and schedules with other departments.
  • Supervising up to 30 production hourly employees.
  • Adjusting the workforce based on workload.
  • Troubleshooting and solving production problems.
  • Evaluating and improving production efficiency.
  • FOLLOWING COMPANY POLICY AND PROCEDURES (SAFETY, QUALITY, PRODUCTIVITY, DISCIPLINE, ORDER, HUMAN RESOURCES, AND CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT).
  • Some extended hours & weekends as necessary.
  • Driving & implementing improvement & Lean initiatives.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School Diploma or GED
  • Supervisory & Quality experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and written
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Knowledge of machinery and packaging equipment a plus
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Quality Systems (i.e. ISO9001)
  • Good decision-making skills
  • 5-S & Lean Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Proficiency using Measurement Tools (i.e., Tape Measure, Digital Calipers, etc.)
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
