We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Athletic Trainer to join our team as a Global Athletic Care Specialist with the Harlem Globetrotters.

Job Overview:

The Harlem Globetrotters are on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced Licensed Athletic Trainer to provide comprehensive medical care to our talented athletes while touring globally. As a member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for preventing injuries, assessing and diagnosing conditions, designing rehabilitation programs, and providing emergency care when needed.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and adaptable individual who is passionate about athletic training and sports medicine. You will work closely with our athletic trainers to develop and implement injury prevention strategies, treatment plans, and rehabilitation programs. Your ability to communicate effectively with athletes, coaches, and management will be crucial in ensuring seamless teamwork and delivering exceptional care.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive injury prevention programs, including warm-ups, conditioning routines, and educational workshops.
  • Conduct detailed clinical evaluations and diagnoses, using your expertise in musculoskeletal injuries and conditions.
  • Craft individualized rehabilitation programs that address specific injuries or conditions, promote recovery, and prevent re-injury.
  • Prepare and manage medical kits and supplies for travel, ensuring readiness to address any medical needs that arise on the road.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience as a Licensed Athletic Trainer.
  • Certification from the Board of Certification for Athletic Trainers (BOC).
  • A strong understanding of sports medicine, anatomy, and exercise physiology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of athletes and individuals.
