Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inspector V to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our Long-Term Care Regulatory team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health and safety of vulnerable populations in Texas long-term care facilities and agencies.

Key Responsibilities:
· Conduct on-site licensure inspections, complaint and incident investigations, and annual comprehensive surveys to determine compliance with certification and licensing health and safety regulations.
· Communicate clearly and accurately with facility staff, residents, and families to provide information, answer inquiries, and address issues or complaints regarding services provided in Texas long-term care facilities/agencies.
· Develop and implement plans to correct deficiencies and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
· Collaborate with other team members to ensure effective and efficient regulatory services.
· May supervise the work of others and participate in training and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nursing, social work, public health) or equivalent experience.
· Strong knowledge of program regulations and procedures, survey techniques, and principles of long-term care regulatory services.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and quality assurance.
· Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and regulations, and to exercise professional judgment and sound decision-making skills.
