Job Summary

The University of Texas at Austin seeks a Seismic Station Maintenance Specialist to join our research team. This role requires strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $65,000+ per year, based on location and industry standards.

Main Responsibilities
  • Prepare and deploy seismic equipment for field operations;
  • Maintain and troubleshoot equipment to ensure optimal performance;
  • Collaborate with research teams to implement new technologies and methods;
  • Manage inventory and supplies to ensure efficient operations;
  • Provide technical support to colleagues and researchers.
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., geophysics, physics, electrical engineering) with 4 years' experience or Master's degree with 2 years' experience;

Strong knowledge of seismic equipment and data acquisition systems;

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills;

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment;

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
