The successful candidate will join our team as part of a multi-disciplinary research group, contributing to the deployment, maintenance, and configuration of seismic stations. Key responsibilities include:

  • Instrument Preparation and Deployment: Prepare equipment for field trips, repair failed instruments, and document activities.
  • Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Monitor and maintain supplies inventory, place orders as needed, and troubleshoot electronic, mechanical, and power system issues.

To be considered, applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree with 4 years' experience or Master's degree with 2 years' experience in geophysics, physics, electrical engineering, earth science, or a related field. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

We are looking for an individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in groups and independently, sometimes in demanding conditions. Experience with electronic, mechanical, and power system configuration and maintenance, as well as deployment, debug, and configuration of seismic instruments, is highly desirable.
