About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Website Development Manager to join our team at CFP Board of Standards Center for Financial Planning. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing all aspects of our websites, ensuring they provide a high-quality user experience.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and maintain an ongoing strategy for ensuring online content is current, consistent, and accurate across multiple sites.
  • Web Management: Oversee administration of the web content management system (Sitecore) and train staff on its use.
  • Data Privacy: Manage website compliance with data privacy regulations, such as GDPR and CCPA.
  • Team Leadership: Manage the work activities of the Web Communications Specialist, including performance objectives, reviews, and development.
Content Management
  • Content Review: Review and approve content for our websites, working with department representatives to ensure timely updates.
  • Brand Guidelines: Oversee CFP Board's standards for online content, ensuring proper voice, tone, style, visual guidelines, and brand name usage.
  • SEO Best Practices: Ensure all content follows SEO best practices and brand guidelines.
  • Production Calendar: Maintain production and editorial calendars for online content.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with staff in developing and implementing effective marketing and communications plans.
Tech Requirements
  • Analytics Expertise: Monitor website analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to assess traffic, engagement, and performance.
  • GA4 Setup: Set up, configure, and manage GA4 to track website performance, user behavior, and key events.
  • User Data Analysis: Analyze user data to optimize website content and performance, improving engagement and conversion rates.
  • Success Metrics: Define success metrics for website content strategy and UX, ensuring relevant data is collected in analytics.
Additional Responsibilities
  • SEO Efforts: Implement and optimize on-page and off-page SEO strategies to drive traffic.
  • Keyword Rankings: Track and report on keyword rankings, organic traffic, and user behavior to identify growth opportunities.
  • Conversion Rate Optimization: Manage search engine optimization (SEO) and conversion rate optimization (CRO) efforts.
  • A/B Testing: Implement A/B testing for continuous optimization of user experience.
  • Usability and Accessibility: Monitor usability and effectiveness for our websites, ensuring compliance with relevant web accessibility guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, web design, or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience with website development and design/UX concepts, and with writing and editing for websites and digital communications.
  • Skills: Data-driven decision maker, highly analytical, critical thinker, keen attention to detail, ability to multitask, collaborative mindset, and proficiency with HTML and image editing software.
  • Google Analytics Expertise: Deep knowledge in Google Analytics (GA4) and Sitecore Experience Analytics.
  • Project Management: Ability to apply project management tools and skills, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated annual base salary for this position is $94,700.00 to $115,000.00, with total compensation including incentive compensation based on individual goals.
