Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Lead to join our team at Leidos, a leading innovator in deploying AI solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to execute algorithm certification for our Provision body scanner and checkpoint and checked baggage CT products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain technical relationships with US and overseas agencies involved in algorithm certification for aviation security products.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively communicate technical requirements and critical information to data science teams for certification events and aviation security products.
  • Provide regular updates on technical progress towards algorithm certification to stakeholders, including senior Leidos leadership.
  • Serve as the primary product owner for algorithm development sprint teams.
  • Author or co-author algorithm documents required for certification.
  • Support basis of estimates, annual operating plan, and project forecasting for the data sciences organization.
Requirements
  • Master's or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemistry, or a similar discipline, with a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
  • Proven track record of working with customers, Product Line Managers, Project Managers, and technical teams towards effective and efficient execution of engineering projects.
  • Experience working with software engineers towards algorithm development, testing, and release.
  • Experience with Agile software development.
  • Strong understanding of NPI process.
  • Exemplary communication and organization skills.
  • Experience with technical writing of both internal and customer-facing documents.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance (US citizenship required).

  • Experience working with regulated devices.
  • Experience with computed tomography systems.
  • Experience working on DHS/TSA contracts.
