Williamson Medical Center is seeking a skilled Electrophysiology Specialist to join our team. As an Electrophysiology Specialist, you will assist physicians during invasive and cardiology procedures, perform data reduction of electrophysiology studies, and assist with the implantation of stents, Implantable Cardioverter/Defibrillator (ICDs), and Pacemakers.
Key Responsibilities- Assist physicians during invasive and cardiology procedures, including electrophysiology studies and implantations.
- Perform data reduction of electrophysiology studies and ensure accurate data input.
- Verify that all supporting documentation required for procedures is present in patient records.
- Report equipment issues to the appropriate person in a timely manner.
- Communicate with anesthesia to ensure patient safety during procedures.
- Participate in the development and fulfillment of the mission goals of the EP Lab.
- Complete additional offsite training as necessary.
- Participate in patient and patient family education regarding EP procedures.
- Ensure proper communication with vendors whose presence is required for procedures.
- Handle and transport medications and solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Previous Cath/EP lab experience preferred.
- Current certification as a Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist preferred.
