Company: LMR Technical Group (LMR) is in search of a certified Athletic Trainer.

Location: Remote position with potential travel requirements.

Role Summary:

The certified Athletic Trainer will engage in various responsibilities within the realms of performance enhancement and rehabilitation. This includes conducting physical evaluations, effectively communicating injury details and treatment strategies, and offering guidance on injury prevention and performance optimization for military personnel.

  • Conduct initial physical evaluations to identify structural issues and the severity of acute injuries.
  • Implement emergency response techniques for injuries and illnesses.
  • Perform secondary evaluations and apply appropriate management strategies for non-critical injuries.
  • Develop differential diagnoses based on initial or secondary evaluations.
  • Communicate injury or illness details and treatment plans to patients and relevant personnel.
  • Design and create protective equipment and braces to prevent and treat injuries, including taping techniques.
  • Provide insights on injury prevention and strategies to enhance physical conditioning and performance.
  • Participate in meetings to assess care provided and identify areas for improvement.
  • Advise on injury prevention, sports medicine, and rehabilitation matters.
  • Assist in administrative tasks, including supply purchasing and fiscal requests.
  • Collaborate with the community to improve patient care quality.
  • Conduct reviews of equipment and literature to ensure current best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of data collection strategies.
  • Assist in reporting workload data as required.
  • Support the development of job descriptions and performance standards.
  • Help maintain clinical practice guidelines for consistent care across facilities.
  • Contribute to fiscal planning and submit relevant input.
  • Ensure safe operation of patient care equipment and promote a safe working environment.
  • Complete annual training as per guidelines.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training (Master's preferred) from an accredited institution.
  • Current NATABOC certification.
  • Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or equivalent certification.
  • At least five years of experience with elite athletes in military or professional sports.
  • Current CPR certification, including AED training.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of military training environments.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship.
