Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented TeleSitter Monitor Technician to join our team at Memorial Hospital of Laramie County. As a TeleSitter Monitor Technician, you will be responsible for providing continuous observation and surveillance of assigned patients on the Telesitter Device. Your primary goal will be to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients while on the device.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use AvaSure software to continually monitor one or more patients at a time.
  • Maintain visual observation of assigned patient(s) at all times and verbally redirect patient over digital 2-way audio device that is in patient room.
  • Immediately summon the nursing staff if the patient requires assistance.
  • Participate in report with on-coming monitor staff when arriving for shift, and upon completion of shift, review pertinent information and behaviors.
  • Provide patient with explanations as necessary but do not counsel or provide opinions.
  • Provide floor staff with information in a timely fashion when patient appears to pose a threat to themselves or others.
  • Participate in a collaborative identification and reporting of patient safety issues and assure patient environment safety.
Requirements
  • High school diploma (or Equivalent Certificate from an accredited program) or higher degree.
  • Cheyenne Regional AHA RQI within 14 calendar days of start date.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of medical terminology.
  • Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
