Job Title: Medical Staff Coordinator

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Overview:

MedPOINT Management is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Staff Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for coordinating and monitoring the credentialing and re-credentialing process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our credentialing database system and related systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to coordinate the credentialing and re-credentialing process.
  • Analyze and verify practitioner applications and accompanying documents to ensure applicant eligibility.
  • Prepare credentials files for completion and presentation to MedPOINT's Credentialing Committee.
  • Communicate with external stakeholders, including health plans and provider offices/clinics.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and reports.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • At least 2 years' experience with hospital medical staff or managed care credentialing.
  • NAMSS Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Services Manager (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS) or actively pursuing the above certification highly preferred.
