Role Summary
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician II to manage the daily maintenance tasks of our properties. This role is essential to our team, ensuring that our facilities, particularly those serving senior residents, operate efficiently. You will be responsible for maintaining the safety and upkeep of the properties while collaborating closely with the maintenance team. The position requires adaptability to various indoor and outdoor environments and the ability to respond effectively to unexpected situations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance and repairs on electrical, plumbing, heating, and cooling systems; as well as doors, locks, windows, roofs, parking areas, and grounds.
- Prepare apartments for new residents by cleaning, painting, and repairing as necessary.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while interacting with residents.
- Ensure that apartment readiness is completed within a specified timeframe, including conducting inspections.
- Complete purchase request forms for supplies exceeding $50.
- Assist in moving furniture and equipment as needed.
- Request and manage tools and supplies, ensuring safe storage and handling.
- Carry out custodial duties, including cleaning and maintenance of common areas.
- Support safety regulations by identifying and addressing potential hazards.
- Participate in regular staff meetings and complete assigned safety training.
- Document completed work orders in the software system, detailing tasks performed and materials used.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- At least two years of experience in maintenance roles.
- Familiarity with property management software.
- Experience in apartment maintenance and familiarity with inspection processes.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Strong commitment to professionalism and confidentiality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
Reporting Structure
This position reports directly to the Community Manager.
