Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our Dining Services team at Atria Senior Living. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious and appetizing meals for our residents. Responsibilities

As a Cook, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing menus and food-production instructions to prepare meals that meet our residents' dietary needs and preferences.
  • Preparing and cooking meals in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring that all dishes are presented attractively and are served hot.
  • Overseeing the preparation and set-up of serving carts to ensure that all food is served in a punctual and organized manner.
  • Following food safety and sanitation procedures to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Ensuring that all food is properly labeled, dated, and stored to maintain food quality and safety.
  • Collaborating with other team members to ensure that all meals are prepared and served to the highest standards.


Qualifications

To be successful as a Cook at Atria Senior Living, you will need to have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in a cooking or food preparation role.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring that all residents receive a high-quality dining experience.
  • Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new software and systems.
