Job Title: DSP Engineer

The Bull Integration Group is seeking a skilled DSP Engineer to join our client's team.

This opportunity provides a chance to develop cutting-edge technology that supports critical defense and intelligence services.

The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of wireless communications, signal processing, and algorithm implementation in digital hardware, including DSP, CISC, and RISC processors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, debug, and test signal processing algorithms on various platforms.
  • Collaborate with a product development team to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop software-based solutions for modern communications systems, including algorithm development, hardware control, system optimization, and deployment strategies.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
  • At least 5-7 years of experience in digital signal processing, DSP design, and algorithmic code development.
  • Intimate understanding of digital signal processing architectures and ability to provide insight and assistance to other design engineers.
  • Experience with signal processing, DSP design, and algorithmic code development.
  • Ability to design, simulate, develop, and test DSP algorithms for software-defined radios, modulators, demodulators, signal identification, cognitive radio, and various wireless communications.
  • Working knowledge of MIMO and wireless communications standards.
  • Experience with code development and optimization targeting DSP, CISC, and RISC processors.
  • Ability to develop and document designs, simulations, analyses, and test results.
  • Ability to work independently in the lab and as part of a team to perform hardware check-out and debug.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with system impacts of device architectures on performance, SWaP, and cost.
  • Familiarity with both fixed-point and floating-point designs.
  • Experience with MATLAB, GNURadio, and USRPs.
  • Experience with C/C++ development for classes of processors, such as TI DSPs, and vector processors.
  • Experience with RTL code development using Verilog or VHDL in FPGAs.
