Responsibilities:- Provide technical assistance to pharmacists in the processing of medication orders and monitoring of drug therapy.
- Procure, measure, compound, count, and deliver medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Assist home delivery pharmacists in daily activities to drive patient management and prescription capture.
- Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions.
- Function within the guidelines of the Wisconsin Statutes and Administrative Code - Pharmacy Examining Board - Pharmacy Practice Sections.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician.
- High School diploma or equivalent required; graduate of an accredited pharmacy technician training program preferred.
- Exceptional customer service skills and proven attention to detail.
- Experience with 3rd party insurance and ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group.
- Outstanding organizational and follow-up skills, as well as promotion skills to sell a program.
- Experience with various computer systems and programs.
- Application for Wisconsin registration as a Pharmacy Technician required by hire date and must be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through passing the Pharmacy Technician Certification Boards exam (PTCE) or the National Healthcareer Associations exam (ExCPT) required within 6 months of hire.
