Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Specialist to join our team at Manufacturing Company. The ideal candidate will have expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing procurement activities with international suppliers.

About the Role:

  • Develop strong relationships with Korean and English-speaking suppliers to ensure high-quality materials, competitive pricing, and timely deliveries.
  • Act as the main point of contact between Manufacturing Company and Korean suppliers, communicating expectations and handling any issues or discrepancies in both languages.
  • Source materials, goods, and services based on company needs, evaluating suppliers' bids, and negotiating pricing, terms, and conditions in Korean and English.
  • Conduct market research to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement strategies.
  • Place orders with suppliers, monitor shipment progress, and resolve logistical issues, ensuring all purchase orders are accurately entered, tracked, and fulfilled on time.
  • Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to manage inventory and ensure stock levels meet production requirements.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, pricing agreements, and supplier performance metrics, managing documentation in both Korean and English.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that purchasing activities align with organizational goals.
  • Translate documents or communications when necessary, supporting smooth communication between English-speaking teams and Korean-speaking suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Fluent in both Korean and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills in each language.
  • Strong negotiation abilities and understanding of procurement best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of both Korean and English-speaking markets, including cultural nuances that affect business relationships and negotiations.
  • Proficiency in purchasing and inventory management software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively, with strong attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve issues related to supplier performance, order discrepancies, or logistical challenges.
