Revolutionary Sports LLC is on the lookout for passionate, patient, and articulate instructors who are eager to transform sports education into an enjoyable and enlightening experience for children.

Founded in 2001, Revolutionary Sports LLC has established itself as the premier organization in the Twin Cities for teaching children the fundamentals of various sports. Our dedicated coaches lead a multitude of classes, camps, leagues, and small group training sessions. Our unique methodology focuses on imparting age-appropriate technical and tactical skills through engaging warm-ups, enjoyable game-like activities, and concluding with small-sided games. We are expanding rapidly and are in search of more instructors who aspire to make a significant, positive impact on children aged 2-8.

Program Structure

  • Collaborative programs with parks, recreation centers, schools, and other community organizations.
  • Classes are conducted over four weeks, meeting once a week at various locations.
  • Shifts last 2-3 hours, involving multiple age groups in consecutive 45-minute sessions.
  • Minimum requirement of two shifts per week, scheduled on weekday evenings. A commitment of at least 90 days is expected.
  • Year-round opportunities available for instructors willing to teach multiple sports. New instructors typically start with one sport.
  • Spring/Summer sports include soccer, baseball, tennis, and ninja warrior fitness.
  • Fall/Winter sports include soccer, basketball, volleyball, flag football, ninja warrior fitness, floor hockey, dance movement, and tumbling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Commit to coaching at least two evenings each week.
  • Learn and implement Revolutionary Sports' core curriculum and teaching methods.
  • Manage groups of 8-20 participants effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with children, parents, recreation center staff, and fellow instructors.
  • Complete attendance reports promptly after each session.

Qualifications

  • Genuine enthusiasm for working with children and serving as a positive role model.
  • Strong communication skills, both creative and effective.
  • Patience in working with individuals of all ages and abilities.
  • Professional demeanor with consistent punctuality and performance.
  • Ability to clearly convey and demonstrate sports skills.
  • Willingness to collaborate with and learn from other coaches to enhance instructional skills.
  • Experience in childcare or teaching in a group setting, particularly with ages 2-5.
  • Capability to engage and maintain the attention of a group of children.
  • Knowledge of sports and the ability to identify age-appropriate technical, tactical, and social aspects to provide constructive coaching feedback.
  • High-level sports experience (high school varsity/college) is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to various locations.
  • Ability to maintain and manage sports equipment.
