Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our Histology and Cytology departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing laboratory activities, monitoring test analyses, and ensuring that acceptable levels of performance are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage laboratory activities, including supervision of staff, test analyses, and specimen examinations.
  • Develop and implement processes to ensure safe handling and disposition of remains.
  • Establish and maintain par levels of supplies.
  • Act as a liaison between the histology laboratory staff and various functional groups.
  • Design and complete complex validation of immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescent antibodies.
  • Manage unique histological testing for neuropathology, pediatric pathology, non-decalcified bone, and whole orbit ophthalmic pathology.
  • Coordinate daily workflows to distribute histology slides to outside hospitals and clinics.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical/Life Science or related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in laboratory supervision, with a focus on histology and cytology.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • CT-ASCP or equivalent certification.
