Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: Mercy offers a loan repayment assistance program for eligible Imaging co-workers in 24X7 hospital-based positions, providing financial support for loan repayment. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer, up to $370 per month, and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.

Overview:

The MRI Staff Technologist works under the supervision of the Administrative Supervisor and/or Director, operating a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatment of pathologies. The technologist selects appropriate imaging techniques, operates console and peripheral hardware, and enters and monitors patient data, transferring images from disk to PACS.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist Program or MRI Technologist Program and completed required clinical hours.
  • Experience: Has acquired experience and possesses capability as determined to be adequate for the position.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • Obtained ARRT(MR) or ARMRIT registry or Advanced register eligible (Achieve advanced registry within 18 months of eligibility).
    • BLS Basic Life Support.
  • Other Skills & Knowledge:
    • IV Insertion* Technical skill in medical scanning, understanding of cross-sectional anatomy, and 3-D knowledge.
    • Working Conditions, Mental and Physical Requirements:* Manipulating equipment, lifting, moving, and transporting patients.* Continual standing or walking. * Adapt to stressful situations.
