Position Overview:
Schedule: Full-Time
As a key member of the People Function, the Senior Associate Relations Consultant plays a vital role in supporting our Canadian operations. You will serve as a trusted advisor and consultant to leadership at all levels, including Directors and General Partners, addressing complex and sensitive associate relations and business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide firm leaders and associates through a wide range of interpersonal and business challenges with autonomy.
- Assess situations and determine appropriate actions based on thorough investigations and input from all parties involved.
- Provide strategic advice to leaders on executing outcomes, which may include coaching or separation of employment, often communicating directly with associates.
- Collaborate with and mentor Associate Relations Consultants in navigating complex situations to achieve suitable outcomes while enhancing their skills.
- Assist in the onboarding, training, and development of new Associate Relations Consultants, ensuring they are well-equipped for their roles.
- Promote a fair and inclusive workplace culture, representing Edward Jones' values while managing various risks, including legal and regulatory considerations.
- Conduct ongoing evaluations of facts and circumstances against established precedents and evolving employment laws to ensure consistency and mitigate risks.
- Manage and resolve intricate issues escalated from other Centers of Excellence (COEs) such as Compliance and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders, including legal counsel and compliance teams, to ensure alignment and support.
- Represent the Associate Relations function in firm-wide initiatives, working with cross-divisional leadership to enhance the associate experience throughout their career lifecycle.
Influence and Expertise:
You will have a significant impact across all levels of associates and leaders, providing subject matter expertise on complex situations that inform the firm's legal strategies.
Compensation:
At Edward Jones, we value our associates and their contributions. Our rewards program is designed to promote long-term careers, financial security, and overall well-being. The salary range for this role is based on national data, with actual pay reflecting skills, experience, education, and other relevant factors:
Minimum Salary: $81,750
Maximum Salary: $139,194
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree/diploma or bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience in HR, including 2 years in employee relations or a leadership role.
- Preferred HR certification and in-depth knowledge of Canadian employment law.
