Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated individual to take on the role of Regional Operations Manager. This position is integral to ensuring the effective management of land and natural resource programs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Staff Supervision:** Oversee personnel to guarantee the smooth operation of land and natural resource management initiatives under your guidance.
2. **Workforce Management:** Engage in workforce planning, personnel management, performance evaluations, EEO compliance, and the training and development of employees.
3. **Workload Analysis:** Assess and evaluate workload capabilities to create a balanced set of land and natural resource programs.
4. **Program Oversight:** Manage planning and budgeting systems for land and natural resource programs to ensure that resources and work plans meet operational targets.
5. **Issue Resolution:** Identify and analyze emerging topics in land and natural resources, addressing sensitive or controversial issues and proposing viable solutions.
6. **Communication Skills:** Develop and deliver presentations and briefing materials that require extensive analytical input.
Experience Requirements:
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level. This experience should include direct supervision of staff and management of land and natural resource programs.
Additional Information:
Volunteer work and experience gained through National Service programs will be considered valuable and contribute to your qualifications.
Physical and Work Environment:
Occasional fieldwork may be required, which could involve traversing rough terrain and exposure to extreme weather conditions.
