Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Manager to lead our Cardiac Surgical Intermediate Care Unit at Alaska Regional Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of skilled nurses and healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to the ICU and CSIC teams, ensuring high-quality patient care and adherence to hospital policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement effective care plans for critically ill patients.
  • Recruit, train, and develop staff to ensure a skilled and motivated team that delivers exceptional patient care.
  • Manage departmental resources and processes to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Current RN license in the State of Alaska.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or enrolled in a program within 12 months.
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification.
  • A minimum of two years high acuity ICU experience.
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills.
  • Strong clinical skills in the performance of ICU level nursing care.
  • Strong leadership skills and organizational skills.
