Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled HVAC Maintenance Mechanic I to join our team at Johns Hopkins HealthCare. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing maintenance, installation, and repair work on HVAC systems, equipment, and components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on HVAC systems, equipment, and components.
  • Install, repair, and fabricate sheetmetal/metal components related to HVAC and other trades.
  • Work under general supervision and use the tools and techniques of HVAC technology.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of formal training in the HVAC trade at a vocational or technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization.
  • Knowledge of HVAC theory, techniques, codes, procedures, and materials.
  • Knowledge of safety rules, procedures, and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of sheetmetal installation, repairs, and fabrication.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 5 years related work experience.
  • Proficient written and verbal English communication skills, at least on a high school graduate level, to interact with departmental/JHM staff.
