Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance, installation, and repair work on instrumentation control systems serving HVAC systems, equipment, and components.
  • Install, calibrate, and maintain pneumatic, electric, and electronic controls.
  • Diagnose complex automatic temperature control problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Train peer and lower-level positions as directed by supervisor.
  • Identify, analyze, diagnose, and resolve routine HVAC equipment problems and component conditions.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of formal training in the HVAC trade at a vocational or technical school, college, or apprenticeship sponsor organization.
  • Training in instrumentation control systems (pneumatic and electronic) serving HVAC systems and components.
  • 5 years related work experience.
Working Conditions

Work is performed in shop and mechanical area environments with exposure to dust, heat, cold, noise, and fumes. Work may be performed outdoors with exposure to extreme temperatures and other weather conditions. Work requires ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.
