POSITION OVERVIEW

This role is dedicated to providing high-quality education in a fair and inclusive setting, covering a range of computer science subjects, including various programming languages.



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver computer science courses through in-person, hybrid, virtual, or web-enhanced formats as assigned. Collaborate with course leaders and program coordinators to ensure uniform and equitable student experiences. Leverage the institution's learning management system to distribute course materials to learners. Ensure that updated departmental syllabi are submitted before the commencement of classes.

Maintain regular communication through institutional email and departmental channels. Respond to inquiries within 48 hours, excluding weekends.

Complete all mandatory documentation such as student engagement reports, Early Alerts, progress assessments, and grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome evaluations by the stipulated deadlines.

Participate in departmental effectiveness initiatives. Establish and maintain scheduled office hours for student consultations. Submit final grades by the deadlines set by the registrar. Serve as an academic advisor to students as assigned. Adhere to all institutional policies and guidelines.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in Computer Science or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Computer Science or a closely related discipline.

Proficiency in at least two of the following programming languages: C#, C++, Access, Oracle, HTML5, CSS, Java, JavaScript, ASP.Net, PowerBI, SQL, or Python.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience teaching at the college level.

Familiarity with three or more of the following programming languages: C#, C++, Access, Oracle, HTML5, CSS, Java, JavaScript, ASP.Net, PowerBI, SQL, or Python.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
Knowledge and/or experience in various instructional delivery methods. Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and the needs of the student demographic.
