Job Overview

Position Title: Shift Leader

Availability: Must be available for two shifts from Friday to Sunday, with flexible scheduling options.

Store Closure Days: The store is closed on major holidays including Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.


Reporting Structure:
This position reports to the Managers, General Manager, District Manager, and Owners.


Supervision:
Responsible for overseeing Team Members.


Position Purpose:
As a vital member of the management team, the Shift Leader collaborates closely with the Managers and Owner to ensure that daily operations and management standards of the retail establishment are consistently met. The Shift Leader must possess the capability to make sound decisions, address challenges effectively, and manage store operations in the absence of upper management or the Owner.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure optimal efficiency and organization across all store processes and protocols.
  • Assist in the orientation, training, and development of team members to ensure understanding and execution of operational standards.
  • Manage and organize all documentation related to store operations.
  • Oversee compliance with company policies and standards among team members.
  • Maintain store presentation and product display in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Achieve specific departmental goals regarding cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory control.
  • Provide assistance to team members during busy periods or scheduling conflicts.
  • Handle sales transactions, returns, and special orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all related documentation.
  • Safeguard all company property.
  • Work proactively to prevent loss and damage of merchandise.
  • Support the management of the sales floor and staff.
  • Keep the management team and Owner informed of significant activities and issues.

Requirements:

  • Must be available to work at least two shifts on weekends (Friday-Sunday).
  • Flexibility to work hours necessary for opening and/or closing the store.
