Manufacturing Purchasing Coordinator Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dynamic Manufacturing Purchasing Coordinator to join our fast-paced team. This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in our manufacturing process by managing all aspects of purchasing and inventory.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage daily purchasing activities, including the creation, issuance, and maintenance of Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Ensure optimal inventory levels are maintained to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with the production team to forecast needs and establish purchasing schedules.
  • Utilize Excel to track and analyze purchasing trends, identify opportunities for cost savings, and improve efficiency.
  • Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Develop plans for purchasing equipment, services, and supplies.
  • Work closely with others in the procurement function to prepare and implement the company's purchasing strategy.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchasing, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Proven experience in managing POs and maintaining materials.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and inventory control systems.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
  • Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels.
