Speech Therapist Assistant

Summary:

We are seeking a licensed Speech Therapist Assistant to provide speech and language services to students with communication disorders in our Texas-based Parmer Center location.

Position Overview:

This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary and benefits package. The successful candidate will work onsite during the school year, collaborating with other professionals to deliver best possible outcomes for students.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and assess student communication disorders to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Provide individualized speech and language therapy sessions to students, working in both group and one-on-one settings.
  • Maintain accurate records of evaluations, assessments, and therapy sessions, ensuring timely reporting on student progress.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to address student needs and support academic success.
Requirements:
  • A valid Texas State SLP License and Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent are required.
  • Prior experience in a school setting is highly desirable but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Competitive weekly pay (approximately $60,000 per annum) with guaranteed hours.
  • Liability insurance coverage, health, vision, dental, and 401k benefits available for eligible employees working a minimum of 30 hours per week.
