We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Cantex Continuing Care Network in North Austin, TX.

About the Job

The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctoral degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university and be licensed as a Speech-Language Pathologist. One year of experience in an acute care or rehabilitation setting is preferred, but not required.

Job Responsibilities
  • Plan and Implement Patient Care Plans: Develop and evaluate patient care plans to restore or maintain patient well-being, taking into account their speech, language, hearing, oral motor, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.

  • Conduct Ongoing Clinical Assessments: Perform ongoing clinical assessments, including OASIS assessments, to identify patient needs, determine level of functioning, and appropriateness of the patient for home care.

  • Communicate with Healthcare Practitioners: Communicate with all physicians involved in the plan of care and other healthcare practitioners related to the current plan of care.

  • Patient Education and Counseling: Provide patient, caregiver, and family counseling, as well as education on therapy skills and disease management.

  • Maintain Records: Prepare and complete clinical notes, phone orders, and other clinical record documentation in a timely manner.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience. We also offer a range of benefits, including health insurance, paid time off, and opportunities for professional development.
