Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at UW Health University Hospital in Madison, WI.
As a member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating patient care in the operating room.
Key Responsibilities:
Work with a team to plan for patient care in the operating room in a timely manner.
Communicate and coordinate operating room activities to facilitate efficiency in surgical case progression and turnover between cases.
Implement safe, competent, and efficient patient and family care within policies, procedures, and standards of care plan to the perioperative patient's level of complexity.
Requirements:
Must have experience in eyes: Victrectomies/open globes, Free Flaps, DIEP flaps, acoustics, Plastics, micro.
Must have completed two years of acute care experience within last 3 years.
Must have experience in an Academic Level 1 - Trauma center or similar size hospital.
Successfully completed traveler assignment (13 weeks).
Must have WI nursing license or compact license from their permanent address state.
BLS - must be certified through American Heart Association ONLY
Reference
Needs 2 references from recent work environment/assignments (supervisor or manager only).

Shifts:
36 hrs/wk, Day/Evening, 12 hr shifts, Monday - Friday, 0640-1910 with one day a week possibly 0940-2210. Week day and weekend call responsibilities, possible holiday call responsibilities
