Key Responsibilities

  • Recommend and design new programs to meet the evolving needs of our students and the community.
  • Maintain office hours to provide support and guidance to students.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to college and community activities that promote the mission of Trident Technical College.
  • Develop and implement retention strategies to support student success.
  • Assist in graduate placement and program advising to ensure students achieve their academic goals.
  • Serve on college committees to contribute to decision-making and policy development.
  • Assist the department head with administrative responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of the department.
Requirements
  • A master's degree in Information Systems or a related field, or a master's degree plus 18 semester hours of graduate credit hours in Information Systems or a related field.
  • Three years of progressively responsible related work experience, preferably in higher education.
  • Ability to teach programming and scripting languages, including Java, Python, and JavaScript.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A master's degree in Information Systems or a related field with 18 graduate hours in the discipline.
  • Ability to teach database, programming, and scripting languages, including Java, Python, and JavaScript.
