Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled EMS Laboratory Instructor to join our team at Laurel Ridge Community College. As a Laboratory Instructor, you will be responsible for delivering training and retraining to students in the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) program. You will oversee the evaluation of psychomotor and affective competency, ensure the proper use of equipment and supplies, and complete College timesheets as directed.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver training or retraining as necessary on skills according to the standards of the current text, current level of the students, and the skill sheets used by the program.
2. Evaluate and document psychomotor and affective competency according to established criteria.
3. Ensure the proper use of equipment and supplies, including restocking as needed and disposing of used supplies appropriately.
4. Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as needed for the skill being taught.

Requirements:

We are looking for an EMT, AEMT, Paramedic, or RN with EMS field experience. You should have demonstrated experience in the field, be credentialed, and have completed at least one recertification cycle at your current level of certification. Proven academic excellence and subject matter knowledge are also essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Paramedic license and educational or training experience are preferred.
