Job Description

The Henry Ford is a nonprofit organization and an internationally recognized cultural destination. We are seeking a Senior Major Gifts Officer to focus on key fundraising efforts that align with our mission, vision, and values.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, engage, solicit, and steward prospects capable of making gifts of $100,000 and more.
  • Cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts in the range of $250,000 to $1,000,000.
  • Grow THF's family of donors by identifying potential major gifts and establishing a strong pipeline.
  • Raise between $1,000,000 - $2,000,000 annually in unrestricted, restricted, and planned gifts.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of relevant fundraising experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in development with a proven track record of securing major gifts of $100,000+ from individual donors.
  • Strong familiarity with the non-profit sector, particularly the cultural institution community.
Special Skills
  • Commitment to and enthusiasm for The Henry Ford's mission, vision, and values.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Strong conversational skills and curious-minded.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom.
