Electrical Design Engineer Job Description

This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects in the engineering industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems design, power systems, and control systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing electrical systems for various types of buildings, including medical facilities, churches, schools, and federal projects.
  • Utilizing visual lighting software to create efficient and effective lighting designs.
  • Preparing and maintaining detailed electrical system documentation.
  • Designing and implementing power systems and control systems.
  • Working on municipal projects and plasma centers, ensuring all electrical systems comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Designing and integrating communication systems, HVAC, alarm systems, and plumbing into overall project design.
  • Collaborating with other team members and stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the field of electrical engineering and integrating them into our operations where relevant.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, specifically in electrical systems design, power systems, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in visual lighting software, EIT, PE, and documentation.
  • Experience working on a diverse range of projects, including medical buildings, churches, schools, federal projects, municipal, and plasma centers.
  • Strong knowledge of communication systems, HVAC, alarm systems, and plumbing.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proven track record of managing projects effectively and meeting deadlines.
