Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic with Competitive Salary

As a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic at US Foods, Inc., you will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet of diesel equipment. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and provide top-notch repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting services.
Estimated Salary: $28-$33 per hour, depending on experience, with opportunities for overtime compensation.
Key Responsibilities:
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanics, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and reefers.
• Performing preventative maintenance according to company standards.
• Completing documentation of all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
• Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport as needed.
• Maintaining accurate records and inventory management.
• Working collaboratively with other maintenance shop personnel.
Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you must have:
• A minimum of 3 years of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic or reefer mechanic, or a combination of both.
• Diagnostic and troubleshooting competency relating to equipment repairs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Prior experience in administering an appropriate PM program.
• Ability to read and communicate in the English language, including attendance at trainings and safety coaching.
