Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Health Information Specialist to join our team at Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation. This role will play a critical part in maintaining the integrity of our health information department, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor paper charts and maintain the purge process to ensure patient information is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Provide timely and efficient responses to requests, ensuring accuracy and quality in our customer service.
  • Ensure the accuracy of request to amends and provide customers with the highest quality product and service.
  • Assist in monitoring the integrity of the medical record through continuous audit, reporting, and analysis of trends.
  • Support the Health Information Department as needed, performing a variety of other support functions.

Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a health information office setting.
  • Proven customer service experience and/or training.
  • Prior experience with release of patient record information and knowledge of privacy regulations.
