Key Responsibilities and Qualifications

The Emergency Medical Technician will effectively communicate vital patient information to team members and attending physicians. Responsibilities include:

  • Performing all duties as outlined in the job description, validated by competency assessments under the supervision of the Physician Medical Director.
  • Collaborating with the healthcare team through active communication, documentation, and support as required.
  • Ensuring patient safety and maintaining a positive working relationship with patients, visitors, and healthcare staff.
  • Participating in departmental meetings and training sessions as mandated by policy.

Qualifications:

  • Required Education: Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician as per state regulations. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are mandatory.
  • Required Experience: A minimum of two years as a field EMT with an EMS agency or relevant clinical experience in a hospital setting. Current clinical competency must be demonstrated, and additional training may be required by the employing hospital.
