Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing patients' conditions, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of care.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions between departments.
  • Administer medications, perform medical procedures, and provide education to patients and their families on health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' medical histories, including reviewing medical records, conducting physical examinations, and ordering diagnostic tests as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patients' unique needs, preferences, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, breathing rate, and blood pressure, and report any abnormalities to physicians or other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans, in a clear and concise manner.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Current RN licensure in the United States
  • 1-2 years of recent acute care experience, preferably in an emergency department setting
  • ACLS, BLS, PALS, CPI, and NIH certifications
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks efficiently
