Overview

At Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio, we are seeking a dependable and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Home Assist department in Cuyahoga County. As a vital community resource for over 117 years, we provide trusted home health and hospice care to patients and families throughout Northeast Ohio.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize the nursing process to collect data, plan, and evaluate patient care.
  • Implement prevention, therapeutic, and rehabilitative nursing care.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with healthcare providers, patients, and families.
  • Maintain patient comfort and safety.
  • Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards, policies, and protocols.
Qualifications
  • Experience in home health care.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and complex institutional structures.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
Education/Training/Experience
  • 1-2 years' experience in Med Surg or hospital setting, preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited RN education program with a diploma, Associate's or Bachelor's degree.
  • Registered Nurse, licensed in the State of Ohio.
  • Experience in home health care and 1 year experience in medical-surgical nursing, preferred.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • CPR certification through the American Heart Association, required.
