Position Summary:

Heery is looking for a qualified Project Manager to join our team and support a significant aviation client. The successful candidate will be proactive, possess outstanding communication skills, and be capable of managing tasks with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the comprehensive management of assigned projects and coordinate with A/E Consultants and Contractors.
  • Engage with clients and consultants throughout all phases of the project.
  • Manage financial aspects, ensuring timely client invoicing and monitoring project financial health.
  • Develop detailed project plans and oversee project execution.
  • Implement performance management techniques to track project progress.
  • Handle change control processes effectively.
  • Facilitate communication between the project team and clients through regular updates and meetings.
  • Prepare formal reports on project budgets and progress.
  • Ensure compliance with quality standards and implement quality control measures.
  • Assist in drafting proposals for new projects or modifications to existing ones.
  • Identify opportunities for enhancing project management processes and templates.
  • Ensure awareness of quality, safety, health, and environmental issues among team members.
  • Establish effective governance and systems for project management.
  • Fulfill general line management responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated experience in leading complex, multi-phase capital projects valued at $300 million or more.
  • Proven leadership skills within an integrated project delivery environment.
  • Experience in negotiating high-value contracts.
  • Strong commitment to following through on project commitments.
  • Track record of successfully managing projects and leading a team of project managers.
  • Experience in delivering major capital projects on time, within budget, and adhering to safety and quality standards.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing large, complex construction projects.
  • Project Management Institute (PMI) certification or Program Management certification is preferred.
  • Registration as an Architect or Engineer is advantageous but not mandatory.
