Job Title: Propane Department Coordinator

Asheville Oil Company is seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Propane Department Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the propane department, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of propane services to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by answering incoming phone calls, addressing customer inquiries and concerns, and transferring calls to other associates as needed.
  • Operations Management: Coordinate and schedule propane deliveries, monitor customer propane inventory levels, and manage our remote tank monitor system.
  • Compliance and Safety: Manage propane safety compliance, including customer system safety check documentation, out of gas inspections, and Duty to Warn annual mailings.
  • Team Work: Support propane delivery drivers and technicians, assist with call-in fuel orders, and collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and improve service delivery.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college or earned degree helpful.
  • Professional, friendly demeanor.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong verbal and electronic communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with back office inventory and customer relationship software.
