  • Proficient in handling commercial photovoltaic systems, including 600V and 1000V DC systems, as well as single and three-phase systems.
  • Diagnose and rectify issues in solar systems and electrical components.
  • Maintain effective communication with project managers and superintendents.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC electrical codes in relation to solar PV installations and inspections.
  • Complete tasks safely, accurately, and within designated timelines.
  • Maintain electrical PPE, tools, and equipment in optimal condition.
  • Assist with non-electrical tasks and DC side work as needed.
  • Mentor and train apprentices and junior electricians.

Essential Skills:

  • Comprehensive understanding of NEC and local electrical codes pertinent to solar PV installations.
  • Experience in reading blueprints, plans, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Ability to implement quality control measures and assess safety hazards to ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
  • Capability to lift 50 lbs and work comfortably in elevated environments.
  • Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience in the renewable energy sector is advantageous.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in commercial construction.
  • Journeyman electrician certification.
  • OSHA 10 certification.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and develop implementation plans.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of DC electrical systems.
  • Basic math skills and reading comprehension.
  • Ability to understand written instructions and simple processes.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated competence to perform required tasks.
  • Solar experience is highly preferred.
