Position Summary
We are currently seeking an IT Support Specialist at our facility. This role is essential in providing technical assistance and support to our users. Responsibilities include the installation and maintenance of desktop systems, printers, telecommunication devices, and various software applications. The specialist will assist users with technical issues, manage support tickets, and maintain comprehensive documentation.
This position involves on-site support during standard business hours, with an on-call rotation once fully trained.
Key Responsibilities
- Address and resolve Help Desk inquiries through various communication channels in a timely manner.
- Install and configure hardware and software, ensuring optimal performance of all equipment.
- Serve as the primary contact for technical issues, accurately documenting incidents reported by users.
- Assist staff with the setup and ongoing functionality of computers, peripherals, and software in accordance with established standards.
- Support the testing and implementation of new systems and policies.
- Maintain an organized inventory of frequently used desktop support items and manage procurement as necessary.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for Technical Services.
- Possess knowledge of server and desktop operating systems, networking principles, and various software applications.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Information Technology is preferred.
- 1-3 years of relevant experience is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
- Excellent interpersonal abilities and customer service orientation.
- Analytical skills to effectively gather information and troubleshoot issues.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and work independently.
