Job Description:

As a CDL Class A Delivery Driver with Transforce, you will play a critical role in ensuring the timely and safe delivery of food and food-related products to our customers. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring that questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Logistics and Operations: Perform all required safety checks, including pre- and post-trip inspections, to ensure that the tractor, trailer, and freight are in good working condition and meet company safety standards.
  • Delivery and Unloading: Drive to and deliver customer orders according to predetermined routes and schedules, unloading products from the trailer and transporting them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Documentation and Record-Keeping: Complete all required paperwork, including delivery receipts and inventory reports, in an accurate and legible fashion.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform general housekeeping duties, including cleaning the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers, and ensure that all equipment is in good working condition.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: 6+ months commercial driving experience
  • Licenses and Certifications: Valid CDL-A, clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years, and ability to pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Physical Demands: Ability to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate, and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift
