About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-oriented Warehouse Associate/Driver to join our team at Sonepar. As a key member of our logistics and distribution team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe, efficient, and courteous delivery of electrical supplies, materials, and parts to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive company truck(s) with great care, assuring compliance with all prevailing traffic laws and legal speed limits, and safety protocol.
  • Assist with general warehouse duties as needed, including receiving and checking deliveries, pickups, and returns to ensure quality and quantity of products.
  • Load and unload materials from truck in an accurate, efficient, and safe manner, utilizing proper body mechanics and proper equipment (e.g., forklift).
  • Provide associates with possible solutions and/or appropriate contact information when problems arise; report observations of customer opportunities and problems to the Warehouse Manager.
  • Cut wire, rod, or strut, safely utilizing the appropriate equipment.
  • Sweep floors, remove trash, and otherwise maintain the warehouse in a tidy and safe condition.
  • Pick, pack, and ship orders, ranging from small boxes to pallets.
  • Record losses of damaged or defective materials.

Requirements

  • Ability to climb into and drive delivery vehicles.
  • Ability to unload material at customer site, including heavy and bulky items.
  • Willingness to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jack, and power tools.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without accommodation.
  • Ability to be on your feet for extended periods and traverse the warehouse with or without accommodation.
  • Basic problem-solving skills and computer skills.
